Joni is a skilled jewelry artist, as well as a painter. She has been active in creating murals throughout the city of Tacoma, teaching art at some of the schools, and participating in such events as RAGS Wearable Art Show, where she has won several awards for her jewelry including 2021 Best in Show.
Joni, a local Tacoman, studied at the University of Puget Sound and lives in the North End of Tacoma.
Her work reflects her creativity and connection to the organic elements in nature. Many of her pieces are whimsical and playful, others, sophisticated and stunning. Joni works with sterling silver and gold, using semiprecious and precious gemstones.
